SPEAKER OF ANGOLAN PARLIAMENT HOLDS TALKS WITH EGYPTIAN AMBASSADOR

LUADA, The Speaker of Angola’s National Assembly, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, has held discussions here with the Egyptian ambassador to Angola, Khaled Hassan Abdelrahman, on co-operation between the parliaments of the two countries.

The Egyptian diplomat told the media after the meeting at the Angolan Parliament building here Tuesday that there was a need for greater exchanges between Angola and his country in the political field.

Khaled Abdelrahman spoke of the re-launch of biltaeral parliamentary co-operation through the exchanges of visits between the two countries MPs so that they can know the potential of each other in different areas.

According to him, the relationship should also include training in the field of economic diplomacy and journalism, through the committees dealing with foreign affairs of each parliament.

Relations between Angola and Egypt are very strong, said the ambassador, who believes that the exchange of visits will increasingly strengthen the ties of friendship.
