President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that achieving security and stability in Egypt helps in overcoming any challenges or hardships as well as continuing the march of development in all fields.
Sisi’s remarks were made commenting on statements by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el Anani during a ceremony held on Saturday to inaugurate three national museums in various governorates.
Anani said that the construction works of the three museums came to a halt in 2011 due to instability in the country, adding that many pieces of antiquities were smuggled abroad along with the sabotage of a number of state-owned facilities, museums and churches during that chaotic time.
He added that enemies of the nation took advantage of such state of instability to destroy more than 75 churches which the country has already restored. Terrorism, destruction and damage during 2011 unrest disrupted all national development plans, he also said, asserting that all people should join hands to maintain the stability of the country to achieve a better future.
