JORDAN DEPORTS 1208 GUEST WORKERS IN LESS THAN MONTH

AMMAN, Nov. 24 (NNN-Petra)–The Ministry of Labour took a decision to deport 1208 guest workers of various nationalities over labour Law violations.

The ministry detained those workers during October 27-November 17 in Amman and other governorates across the Kingdom as part of a campaign that aims at regulating the labour market and ensuring that employers abide by the Labour Law.

Labour Minister Nidal Qatamin instructed the Ministry’s Inspection Department in November 2014, to start a campaign to regulate the labour market and ensure that guest workers rectify their status.
