ISRAEL RAZES STREET IN JORDAN VALLEY, PRELUDE TO ANNEXING TERRITORY: REPORT

NABLUS, Nov 26, (NNN-WAFA)– Israeli army Wednesday razed a street to the east of Tubas in northern Jordan Valley, according to local sources.

Aref Daraghmeh, head of al-Maleh local council in the Valley, said an Israeli army force accompanied by heavy machinery broke into the area in the early morning hours, before proceeding to raze the road which serves local Bedouin Palestinians.

The Israeli army and police have repeatedly vandalized residencies and roads in the Jordan valley under the pretext of construction without permission.

According to Israeli human rights group B’Tselem, Israel has pursued various measures to annex this territory de facto. “It has prevented the development of Palestinian communities, systematically destroyed homes in Palestinian Bedouin communities, and denied access to water and strictly limited Palestinians’ freedom of movement.”–NNN-WARA
