Egypt regained its regional role: Araji

MP Assem Araji said in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon 100.3-100.5 radio station that “Egypt played major influential role in the Arab world and it is back to how it used to be.”

“Egypt used to play an important role in the Lebanese presidency and it seems to have returned to playing a regional role in the Middle East, and this is a good and important factor,” he said.

He believed that the “Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry came to explore the situation and get an idea of what is happening, perhaps to suggest a settlement in the future,” adding that “Shukri might have Arab, regional and international support.”
