General Court of Audit Engages in ASOSAI Executive Board Meetings in Baku

Baku: The General Court of Audit (GCA) of Saudi Arabia took part in the meetings of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI), held Thursday and Friday in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. The meetings brought together heads and delegations of supreme audit institutions from several Asian and Arab countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the participation aligns with the GCA's efforts to highlight the Kingdom's role in advancing the Asian financial oversight community, strengthening partnerships with peer institutions, and driving forward initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, and good governance across the region.

The meetings commenced with the 62nd session of the ASOSAI Executive Board, where several key reports were reviewed and discussed. These included the organization's strategic plan, capacity-building activities, and the 2024 financial statements. Reports from working groups on crisis-management auditing, information technology, and data analysis were also addressed, along with discussions on cooperation between ASOSAI and other relevant regional organizations. Decisions were made accordingly on the items presented on the agenda.
