Sharm el-sheikh: General Court of Audit President Dr. Hussam Alangari met with several heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from Japan, Iran, Egypt, Portugal, Syria, South Africa, Indonesia, New Zealand, Cyprus, Australia, Uzbekistan, Sweden, and Slovakia on the sidelines of the 25th Session of the General Assembly of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), held from October 27 to 31 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt. The meetings aimed to strengthen cooperation and partnership with peer institutions and to share the Kingdom's professional auditing expertise.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meetings addressed avenues of cooperation and exchange of expertise between peer institutions in financial audit, compliance audit, and performance audit, as well as ways to enhance joint work in capacity building and in the development of methodologies and work guides in auditing, within the framework of INTOSAI and its regional organizations. The efforts aim to enhance the efficiency of SAIs, promote transparency in the public sector, and contribute to improving the effectiveness of government performance worldwide.
