Manama: The General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI), affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will hold a roundtable meeting next Tuesday to discuss its strategic plan for 2025. The meeting will focus on evaluating progress and defining future priorities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting will bring together a distinguished group of CIBAFI members from around the world and the broader Islamic finance sector as well as regulatory and financial bodies from member states. Discussions will cover advancements in the current strategic plan as well as emerging challenges and opportunities, while setting future priorities.
CIBAFI emphasized the importance of active participation from member countries in shaping the council's future direction, working together to develop a shared vision that advances Islamic finance globally.
Meanwhile, CIBAFI hosted a delegation from the Central Bank of Mauritania on Wednesday, addressing means of strengthening cooperation between the two institutions. The meeting discussed the exchange of expertise in various fields that support the growth and development of Islamic finance in the region.
