General Authority Enhances Services for Pilgrims at Two Holy Mosques

Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque is exerting continuous efforts to serve pilgrims, Umrah performers, and worshippers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority affirmed that the extent of these efforts reflects its commitment to serving pilgrims by providing the highest standards of service and comfort in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.

The authority reported that from the 19th to the 29th of Dhul-Qi'dah 1446 AH, operational services were intensified in preparation for the Hajj season. In enhancing the atmosphere of comfort within the Two Holy Mosques, 5,589 liters of perfumes and 7,829 grams of incense were used. The Zamzam water service saw over 6,979 cubic meters consumed, with 202,200 Zamzam bottles distributed to pilgrims and worshippers. The number of cups used for drinking exceeded 28,217,000.

In addition to these services, 338,092 iftar meals were provided to fasting individuals, extending Saudi Arabia's tradition of generosity in serving pilgrims. The waste removal effort during this period amounted to 787 tons, part of a 24-hour cleaning and operational plan to ensure a pure environment for pilgrims.

Further reflecting its dedication, the authority distributed 506,287 gifts and items, including copies of the Holy Quran, awareness brochures, and prayer rugs, bringing joy to the hearts of visitors. These efforts demonstrate the commitment of the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque to provide the best quality services to pilgrims, in line with the directives of the leadership.
