GEA Chairman Announces Public Workout Bouts Ahead of Canelo vs. Crawford Fight

Las vegas: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh announced the staging of several bouts as part of a public workout event scheduled for Tuesday in Las Vegas. The event is held as part of Fight Week, leading up to the historic showdown between Mexican boxer Saºl 'Canelo' lvarez and American Terence Crawford, set to take place on Saturday, September 13, at Allegiant Stadium under the umbrella of Riyadh Season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the public workout offers fans the opportunity to witness the champions' training sessions live in a festive atmosphere that combines sporting excitement with audience engagement, in line with the significance of a bout considered among the most notable clashes in modern boxing history.

The evening will feature a six-round middleweight contest (156 lbs) between Saudi Abdullah Darkazanli, who holds one victory with no defeats, and American Kody Koboski, who has four wins, all by knockout, and two losses. It will also include a 10-round super middleweight bout (170 lbs) between Kazakhstan's Bek Nurmaganbet, who has 14 wins, 12 of them by knockout, and American Steven Sumpter, who holds 11 victories, including nine by knockout, with one loss and one draw.

In addition, Cuba's Yoandy Toirac, with three wins, all by knockout, will face American Skylar Lacy, who has eight wins, six of them by knockout, with one loss and two draws, in a six-round heavyweight bout. Cuban Brayan Leon Salgado, undefeated with eight wins, including seven by knockout, will meet American Devontae McDonald, who has eight wins, two by knockout, and five losses, in an eight-round super middleweight contest.

The card will also include a six-round flyweight bout (112 lbs) between American Mikie Tallon, who is undefeated with nine wins, and compatriot Christian Robles, who has nine victories, four of them by knockout, and three losses.
