Riyadh: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi welcomed US President Donald Trump's decision to lift sanctions imposed on the Syrian Arab Republic. He praised the significant efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which played a key role in facilitating this pivotal decision.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi expressed hope that this step would help alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Syrian people and pave the way for building a safe and prosperous future for their country.
