Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi welcomed the announcement of an immediate ceasefire between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, expressing hope that the agreement would contribute to enhancing security and stability in the South Asian region. According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi affirmed the GCC's support for regional and international efforts aimed at easing tensions between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of resorting to dialogue and diplomacy to resolve disputes. Albudaiwi expressed hope that the agreement would serve as a step toward a comprehensive resolution of the conflict, ensuring lasting peace and security for the peoples of both nations.
