GCC Secretary-General Says Unified Military Command is One of Most Prominent and Vital Gains

GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi underlined, during his visit to the headquarters of the GCC’s Unified Military Command in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Monday, that the Unified Military Command is a gulf pride and model for the GCC states.

The Unified Military Command is one of the most prominent and vital gains for the GCC’s process, because of its significant contribution in unifying and coordinating military efforts to safeguard GCC states’ security and stability, in addition to defending them within the joint defense agreement framework, through the presence of a joint and unified gulf military command for GCC states, Al Budaiwi said in a statement.

He pointed out that the creation and activation of the Unified Military Command came in the belief that coordination and unification efforts between the armed forces are significant, adding that the Unified Military Command is one of the joint gulf military achievements.

During the meeting, Al Budaiwi inspected the functions and tasks discharged by the command, including duties assigned to it, in addition to discussing several topics concerning the gulf joint military action, in pursuit of enhancing the blessed march of the GCC, and achieving the aspirations of the peoples of the GCC states.
