Riyadh: GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC states' firm positions toward the Lebanese Republic, emphasizing their support for all efforts that promote its security, stability, prosperity, and sustainable development for the Lebanese people.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this reiteration came during Albudaiwi's meeting today with Ambassador of Lebanon to Saudi Arabia Dr. Fawzi Kabbara at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh, marking the end of the ambassador's diplomatic term in the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed GCC-Lebanese relations and discussed ways to develop and strengthen them. They also followed up on positive developments in Lebanon aimed at fostering greater well-being and security for the Lebanese people. In addition, they discussed the latest regional and international developments.
