New york: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi participated in the high-level event titled “One Vision, One Future: Rallying Global Momentum on NCDs for Generations to Come.” The event was organized by the Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman in cooperation with Morocco, Tunisia, Ghana, the Philippines, and the Non-Communicable Disease Alliance (NCD Alliance) on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi emphasized that this initiative reflects Oman’s role in promoting public health at both regional and international levels, and its contribution to addressing significant global health challenges.
He also indicated that holding this event alongside the 80th session of the UNGA enhances its international significance and strengthens global solidarity in combating non-communicable diseases, thereby achieving the goals of sustainable development and safeguarding the future of younger generations.
