GCC Secretary-General Meets Yemeni Foreign Affairs Minister

Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi received Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al Zouba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen, today. Albudaiwi extended his congratulations to Dr. Al Zouba on her new role and expressed his well wishes for her success in fulfilling her responsibilities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting involved discussions on the strong fraternal ties between the GCC and Yemen. The dialogue also covered recent developments in Yemen and efforts to enhance security and stability, as well as support initiatives for peace and development in the region.

The GCC Secretary-General emphasized the council's unwavering commitment to supporting efforts that contribute to Yemen's security and stability. He reiterated the GCC's ongoing support for humanitarian and relief activities aimed at reducing the hardships faced by the Yemeni people, in cooperation with regional and international partners.
