GCC Secretary-General Marks 50th Anniversary of GCC Joint Program Production Institution

Kuwait city: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi participated yesterday in the celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the GCC Joint Program Production Institution (GCCJPPI) in Kuwait City, attended by several ministers and officials.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi began his address by extending his gratitude to Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for the support provided by Kuwait in hosting and supporting the GCC headquarters and its institutions. This reflects a commitment to advancing joint Gulf action.

Albudaiwi highlighted that the GCCJPPI is not just a media production entity but a Gulf institution that uses media as a tool for education, awareness-building, and fostering unity among the GCC states. He stressed the importance of media in supporting development through responsible content.

He mentioned that the institution has served as a media platform since its establishment, promoting Gulf identity and values through programs that resonate with citizens at different life stages.

Albudaiwi concluded by thanking the GCCJPPI's pioneers and workforce for their contributions. He expressed hope for a brighter future for the institution and GCC-affiliated media entities, emphasizing the need for conscious and influential media amid global developments.
