GCC Secretary-General Engages with Union for Mediterranean Counterpart

Riyadh: Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi met with Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Secretary-General Nasser Kamel on the sidelines of the Dubrovnik Forum 2025 in Croatia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, they reviewed and discussed several topics of mutual interest, most notably enhancing opportunities for cooperation between the GCC and the UfM, in addition to exchanging views on the latest developments on the international and regional scenes.

The GCC secretary-general indicated that the GCC countries always seek to strengthen their relations with other countries and regional and international organizations, based on their deep belief in the importance of multilateral partnerships in supporting security, peace, and sustainable development. He also noted that the Mediterranean region represents an important partner, given the relations between the two sides, which they seek to strengthen in the coming period to build a more stable and prosperous future that serves the interests of the peoples of both sides.
