Munich: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi met yesterday with Helga Maria Schmid, deputy president of the Munich Security Conference Foundation Board, on the sidelines of the 61st annual Munich Security Conference, the GCC General Secretariat announced in a news release. The meeting focused on exploring avenues for cooperation between the two entities to bolster security and stability efforts both regionally and globally.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the dialogue between Albudaiwi and Schmid highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to address pressing security challenges. Albudaiwi commended the Munich Security Conference Foundation and the European Institute for Peace (EIP) for their roles in organizing the conference. He emphasized their significant contributions to fostering international dialogue and cooperation aimed at tackling global security issues.
Albudaiwi reiterated the commitment of both the GCC and the Munich Security Conference Foundation to supporting stability and peace. He noted that the conference serves as a crucial platform that unites leaders, decision-makers, and experts, facilitating discussions to devise effective solutions and enhance international security.
