Manama: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi attended the opening ceremony of the 3rd Asian Youth Games in the Bahraini Capital, Manama.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ceremony was attended by several heads of GCC Olympic committees, heads of Asian Olympic committees, and representatives from continental and international sports federations.
Albudaiwi remarked that Bahrain’s hosting of this event affirms the attention paid by the Kingdom’s leadership to the sports movement. He highlighted that it embodies continuous support for empowering youth and enhancing interaction among the peoples of the Asian continent through sports, showcasing Bahrain’s position in hosting and organizing regional and international events.
He acknowledged the efforts made in organizing this event and the opening ceremony, which reflects the commitment of the sports leadership in Bahrain to ensure the event’s success and present it to achieve its goals.
