Davos: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh met today on the sidelines of the 55th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos to discuss topics of mutual cooperation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on the upcoming second GCC-ASEAN Summit, economic and cultural collaboration, and strengthening communication between their peoples to advance shared goals and interests. The meeting also addressed Gulf-Vietnamese relations, exploring ways to enhance them to serve common objectives.
The two officials discussed the potential of a free trade agreement between the two sides, highlighting its mutual benefits. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended an official invitation to Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi to visit Vietnam in the near future.
