GCC Secretary General and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Discuss Investment Forum Plans

Istanbul: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers. They discussed recent regional and international developments and explored ways to strengthen cooperation between the GCC and the Kyrgyz Republic across political, economic, and developmental sectors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two officials also reviewed the final preparations for the second Investment Forum between the council and the countries of Central Asia, scheduled to be held in the Kyrgyz Republic at the end of this month. Albudaiwi underscored the GCC countries' commitment to strengthening ties with Central Asian nations and advancing partnerships and cooperation to serve mutual interests and promote development and prosperity for their people. Kulubaev expressed appreciation for the GCC countries and emphasized Kyrgyzstan's aspiration to expand its cooperation further.
