Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi met with Dr. Maria Luisa, Head of the Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa Programme at the Institute of International Affairs (IAI), in Riyadh today. The meeting focused on a range of topics that are of mutual interest to both parties, with a special emphasis on the relationship between the GCC and Italy, highlighting the need to enhance communication and cooperation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, both sides explored various proposals and initiatives aimed at strengthening the collaboration between GCC states and the Institute of International Affairs. Discussions included practical programmes and joint activities that could facilitate this cooperation.
The meeting also addressed regional developments, with both parties emphasizing the importance of de-escalation and the promotion of security and stability in the region. They agreed that diplomacy and constructive dialogue are essential tools for achieving these goals.
