Riyadh: Public Security Directors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states convened their sixth meeting today at the headquarters of the Council's General Secretariat in Riyadh. At the outset, Director of Public Security Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Bassami conveyed the greetings of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz to the participants.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in his opening remarks, Al-Bassami highlighted the Kingdom's commitment to supporting all efforts that enhance Gulf security cooperation and integration. He emphasized that this meeting builds on the progress achieved in joint security collaboration and further consolidates the accomplishments made in strengthening security coordination among GCC countries.
The meeting reviewed several issues of mutual concern, including follow-up on the outcomes and recommendations of joint security committees. It explored mechanisms to implement them and bolster the security of GCC states, thereby safeguarding their collective achievements.
