Dammam: The Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) organized a workshop titled 'Best Practices and Emerging Trends in Strategic Planning and Performance Management' at its headquarters in Dammam, bringing together experts and specialists in strategic planning from various entities across the GCC countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the workshop aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive view of modern practices in strategic planning and performance management. It also served as an interactive platform for sharing expertise, successful experiences, and key lessons learned among participating entities.
GCCIA Chief Executive Eng. Ahmed Al-Ebrahim emphasized that strategic planning is not merely an administrative procedure, but a fundamental element in fostering innovation and achieving sustainable development. He noted that the workshop contributes to aligning efforts, facilitating knowledge exchange, and building a unified strategic vision that serves the long-term interests of member states.
The workshop featured presentations and interactive sessions that addressed advanced planning models, performance measurement methodologies, and tools for linking plans with strategic objectives. The participants represented key electricity sector entities across the GCC.
The initiative is part of GCCIA's continuous efforts to strengthen cooperation among regional institutions and support the development of a more integrated, efficient, and forward-looking regional energy system.
