Riyadh: The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is organizing an advanced training program on regional experiences in legal integration, from November 2 to 6, in cooperation with The Hague Academy of International Law. The program brings together 60 specialists from various ministries, economic and legal authorities across GCC member states, as well as from Gulf organizations, for a series of expert-led lectures delivered by academics from universities around the world. The sessions highlight experiences in economic and trade integration across regional blocs, including the European Union, the African Union, Latin America, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the inauguration, Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative and Legal Affairs of the GCC General Secretariat Sultan bin Nasser Al-Suwaidi commended the GCC countries' commitment to involving experts from relevant ministries and institutions. He emphasized the importance of such specialized courses in enhancing the knowledge and skills of GCC professionals through exposure to diverse regional integration models. Al-Suwaidi also noted the General Secretariat's efforts to build strategic partnerships with international institutions that offer training programs to promote knowledge exchange and support the advancement of joint Gulf cooperation.
