Putrajaya: General Court of Audit (GCA) President Dr. Hussam Alangari and National Audit Department of Malaysia Auditor General Wan Suraya Radzi signed a memorandum of understanding in Putrajaya today to enhance bilateral cooperation in accounting, auditing, and professional practice.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement supports GCA's strategy to strengthen partnerships with peer supreme audit institutions, facilitating the exchange of professional expertise and the development of specialized joint programs.
Under the memorandum, both institutions will exchange expertise, develop professional practice guides for financial and performance auditing, and build operational capacity through joint workshops and specialized training within the framework of their memberships in the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI).
Alangari affirmed GCA's dedication to expanding strategic partnerships with peer supreme audit institutions, highlighting its leadership in sharing professional expertise across regional and international organizations.
Radzi highlighted the significance of the memorandum in advancing cooperation between the two supreme audit institutions, noting that it will boost performance efficiency, facilitate knowledge sharing, and elevate overall audit quality.
Following the signing ceremony, both sides convened a bilateral meeting with institutional experts to explore joint initiatives and align approaches on matters of mutual interest.
