Malham: The General Court of Audit (GCA) has wrapped up its participation in the LEAP25 conference, the world's largest tech gathering, held from February 9 to 12 in Malham, Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event featured a keynote address by GCA's President Dr. Hussam Alangari, who unveiled the digital strategy for 2025-2027. GCA also showcased its digital transformation initiatives through an interactive exhibition, highlighting its use of cutting-edge technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance audit efficiency in the public sector.
GCA's booth attracted significant attention from conference attendees, including officials, specialists, and industry leaders. Visitors explored the digital strategy, which focuses on enabling innovation, improving audit processes, and delivering sustainable digital excellence.
The strategy is built on several key pillars, including providing a distinguished customer experience by unifying interactions for internal and external customers across all communication channels, implementing effective digital governance to enhance compliance with digital legislation and corporate governance, and developing compatible digital products such as the upgraded digital audit system, Shamel 2.0. "This system covers all stages of auditing, from planning to report issuance, and serves as a pioneering platform that accelerates the development of digital solutions and supports the adoption of emerging technologies and AI," the release emphasized.
At the booth, attendees also interacted with Aref, GCA's AI-powered smart auditor assistant. Designed to support audit teams, Aref provides instant responses, accurate recommendations, and a comprehensive knowledge base to improve audit operations.
GCA launched the Shamel 2.0 smartphone application, enabling audited entities to track audit progress and reports seamlessly. The app also equips auditors with smart tools to enhance productivity and effectively meet audit requirements.
