Riyadh: The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has released the Construction Cost Index bulletin for July 2025, which showed that the index in the Kingdom recorded a slight increase of 0.7% compared with the same period last year.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this rise was attributed to an increase of 0.7% in construction costs for the residential sector and 0.6% in the non-residential sector. Monthly, construction costs in the residential sector increased by 0.4% in July 2025 compared with the previous month, while the non-residential sector rose by 0.5%.
The index reflects price movements of construction inputs across 51 items of goods and services, whose prices are collected monthly from different regions of the Kingdom. The year 2023 was set as the base year for measuring this index.
