Baghdad: General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) President Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah Aldossari participated in the national conference for announcing the preliminary results of the 2024 Population and Housing Census in Iraq, held in Baghdad. During his participation in a panel discussion, Aldossari noted that GASTAT has sought to keep pace with the comprehensive transformations witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the Saudi Vision 2030.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Aldossari highlighted that since the launch of the vision, the quality and accuracy of data have significantly improved, the level of integration and collaboration among government entities has risen, and the Kingdom's digital infrastructure has advanced. This progress enabled GASTAT to adopt the best global methodologies and benefit from the latest technologies in conducting Saudi Arabia's 2022 Census, including the use of satellites, self-enumeration technology, and modern methods to produce statistical data.
The Kingdom, represented by GASTAT, is participating in the conference at the invitation of the Iraqi Authority of Statistics and Geographic Information Systems.
