GASTAT and Qatar Statistics Sign MoU to Boost Statistical Cooperation

Riyadh: During the inaugural Saudi Statistics Forum, the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) and Qatar's National Statistics Center signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration, coordination, and the integration of efforts in their respective statistical domains.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the signing ceremony was attended by Saudi Arabia's Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim, and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, as well as Qatar's Secretary General of the National Planning Council Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa.

The MoU establishes a framework for joint initiatives, capacity building, and integration to achieve shared objectives. It outlines cooperation in areas such as the exchange of knowledge and technical expertise, sharing statistical awareness programs and public communication strategies, organizing joint conferences, seminars, and workshops, and facilitating visits related to statistical work.
