Riyadh:The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has released its monthly complaint performance rankings for national airlines and airports, based on passenger complaints filed in August 2026.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the total number of passenger complaints against national airlines reached 2,402. Saudia had the lowest complaint rate among airlines, with 22 complaints per 100,000 passengers and resolved all complaints on time. Riyadh Air was second, with 52 complaints per 100,000 passengers and a 97% resolution rate, followed by flynas, with 57 complaints per 100,000 passengers and a perfect resolution rate. Flyadeal was fourth, with 108 complaints per 100,000 passengers and a 97% resolution rate. Most complaints in August were related to flight issues, with baggage services and ticketing following.
King Khalid International Airport had the lowest complaint rate among international airports handling more than six million passengers annually, with 11 complaints, equivalent to 0.3% per 100,000 passengers, and a 100% resolution rate. Taif International Airport recorded the lowest rate among international airports with fewer than six million passengers, with one complaint per 100,000 passengers, also achieving a 100% resolution rate.
Wadi Al-Dawasir Airport had the lowest complaint rate among domestic airports, with one complaint, equivalent to seven per 100,000 passengers, and resolved all complaints on time.
GACA's monthly report aims to promote transparency and encourage fair competition to enhance service development and improvement. The authority has established multiple communication channels for passenger engagement, including a unified call center, WhatsApp, social media accounts, and a website, to handle complaints about airlines, airports, and services under its jurisdiction.
