Riyadh: The Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC) has announced the formation of the first Saudi-Mauritanian Joint Business Council, marking a significant step toward advancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this came during a meeting held on Wednesday between President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Hassan bin Moejeb Al-Huwaizi and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Saudi Arabia Mokhtar Ould Dahi, in the presence of Council President Saeed Al Arqan. The two sides reviewed prospects for Saudi-Mauritanian economic relations and discussed preparations for an upcoming visit by a high-level Saudi business delegation to Mauritania to explore investment opportunities.
Participants also discussed incentives, advantages, and investment prospects in Mauritania across various sectors, including energy, petroleum, trade, industry, infrastructure, livestock, fisheries, agriculture, and mining. The FSC, in cooperation with its counterparts in Mauritania, is working on a forward-looking vision for investment and trade partnerships between the Kingdom and Mauritania. This includes enhancing the exchange of business delegations, sharing information on opportunities and markets, and organizing economic forums.
