From Leading Mosque Prayers to Makkah Route: Idriss Kon© Recounts His Journey of Longing for Hajj

Jeddah: In a quiet village in the Republic of C´te d'Ivoire: Pilgrim Idriss Kon© spent his days between teaching at school and leading worshippers in prayer at the mosque, spreading knowledge and reminding people of the values of patience and faith.

According to Saudi Press Agency, despite being occupied with serving the people of his village, his heart still harbored a deep longing for the Grand Mosque-a longing that has never faded since he performed the Hajj more than ten years ago, as he yearned to live those spiritually profound moments once again.

With the launch of the Makkah Route Initiative, the situation changed completely for him. "All the procedures through the Makkah Route Initiative are easier, more organized, and more comfortable, from completing passport procedures to luggage coding and receiving baggage in the Kingdom without difficulty. This has brought reassurance and comfort to pilgrims," Kon© said.

He added that the initiative reflects the Kingdom's strong commitment to serving pilgrims and providing them with the best services from the moment they leave their countries until they arrive in Makkah. Pilgrim Kon© expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi leadership for the great efforts it provides to facilitate the Hajj journey for Muslims, especially pilgrims from the Republic of C´te d'Ivoire.
