In the second half, Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring for France in the 60th minute, before Ousmane Dembélé doubled the lead with the second goal in the 66th minute. France maintained their advantage until the final whistle. With this victory, France became the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup 2026, awaiting the winner of the Spain-Belgium clash to determine their next opponent.
