Johannesburg: The Forward7 initiative, known for its focus on clean cooking solutions, participated as a strategic partner in the LPG Expo 2026, held in Johannesburg, Sub-Saharan Africa. This event took place on April 9 and 10.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the panel sessions at the expo, Forward7 presented its vision of using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for clean cooking. The initiative emphasized LPG as a sustainable and effective solution to enhance the quality of life and achieve economic efficiency. As part of its efforts, Forward7 announced the launch of the Forward7 Clean Cooking Award. This global award is designed to empower innovators and encourage the development of advanced solutions within the LPG sector across Africa.
The journey of the award begins with the announcement of the challenge in Johannesburg and will culminate with honoring the winners. The total prize value of the award stands at $45,000 (SAR168,750), with $15,000 (SAR56,250) designated for the winning project in each category.
Through its participation in the LPG Expo, Forward7 aims to promote global dialogue regarding LPG as a sustainable energy solution. Additionally, it seeks to highlight the contributions of Saudi Arabia in addressing energy poverty on a worldwide scale.
