Qassim: Forty entities from government bodies and the non-profit sector participated in the First National Forum for Rural Tourism and the Rural Award, organized by Qassim Region at King Khalid Cultural Center, reflecting growing interest in advancing rural tourism pathways and developing their potential in the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, participating entities showcased their efforts and initiatives to support rural tourism programs, empower local communities, and develop rural tourism destinations, while highlighting the region's rich natural, heritage, and cultural assets, as well as its diverse tourist attractions that contribute to sustainable development and stimulate tourism activity.
The forum served as a platform for integration between government and non-profit entities and for presenting best practices and distinguished experiences in developing rural tourism, in support of economic diversification goals, enhancement of quality of life, and the positioning of Qassim Region as a leading destination for rural tourism across the Kingdom.
