Jeddah: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Makkah Region Branch Director-General Fareed Al-Shehri received in Jeddah the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Human Rights Commission Executive Director Dr. Hadi bin Ali Al-Yami. During the meeting at the branch headquarters, Al-Yami expressed thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia -- the OIC host country -- for the significant and influential support it has provided to the commission's work since its establishment, which has contributed to enabling it to implement the resolutions issued by the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC member states related to human rights, and to boost its efforts in serving the causes of member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Shehri congratulated Dr. Al-Yami on his appointment as executive director of the commission, stressing the Kingdom's keenness and interest in supporting the commission's work in a way that achieves its goals in promoting human rights and consolidating its principles among OIC member states.
