Riyadh: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met yesterday in Berlin with Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Johann Wadephul. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral and historical relations between the two friendly countries and discussed ways to further develop and strengthen them across various fields. According to Saudi Press Agency, the two sides also discussed the current situation in the region, stressing the importance of the security and safety of international waterways, ensuring freedom of maritime navigation, and restoring normal conditions in the Strait of Hormuz. This dialogue aims to enhance regional security and stability and safeguard the smooth flow of international trade. Both ministers reaffirmed their support for efforts to find peaceful and diplomatic solutions to regional and international crises. The ministers further explored economic and trade relations, discussing the volume of bilateral trade and strategies to increase it. The goal is to reflect the depth of their relations and create additional opportunities to expand cooperation and investment across various sectors. During the meeting, Prince Faisal and Wadephul signed a memorandum of understanding between the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federal Republic of Germany. This MoU establishes a strategic dialogue at the level of foreign ministers, enhancing consultation and coordination and further developing bilateral relations across various fields.
