Riyadh: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the fourth meeting of the R4 foreign ministers in Cairo today. The meeting included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ishaq Dar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Trkiye Hakan Fidan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministers reviewed the latest regional developments and ongoing de-escalation efforts, particularly focusing on Pakistan's mediation efforts following the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The meeting also addressed the Israeli military escalation against the Republic of Lebanon. The ministers emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultations to sustain the diplomatic track, mitigate the repercussions of the crisis, and restore security and stability across the region.
