New York:Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in a multilateral meeting convened by United States President Donald Trump. The meeting included heads of delegations from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey, and was held on the sidelines of the High-level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on the latest developments in the Middle East, with an emphasis on regional escalation and its implications for security and stability. Specific challenges related to the security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait were also addressed.
Participants reviewed efforts to contain tensions and prevent conflict expansion across the region. They also explored ways to enhance political and diplomatic efforts to resolve ongoing crises.
The meeting was attended by notable figures including Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Director General of the General Administration for Policy Planning Prince Dr. Abdullah bin Khalid bin Saud, and Adviser and Special Envoy to the Foreign Minister for Negotiations and Peace Efforts Dr. Manal Radwan.
