Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, received a phone call on Wednesday from his Cypriot counterpart, Constantinos Kombos. The call centered on regional developments and the "urgent" need to halt the aggression against Gaza and prevent the war from spreading regionally, according to a Foreign Ministry statement. Safadi underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to stop the war on Gaza, ensuring civilians' protection, and facilitating "sustainable" humanitarian aid to the coastal enclave. The ministers also went over ways to strengthen bilateral relations, expressing a "shared" commitment to enhance cooperation in various fields, which includes the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Greece and the framework of the European Union.
