Film AlUla Launches Second Edition of ‘Cinema Up Close’ Program

AlUla:Film AlUla is set to launch the second edition of its "Cinema Up Close" program at Villa Hegra, running from October 14 to December 18. This initiative will feature a notable array of filmmakers and cinema experts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program will span six weeks, offering three sessions each week. These sessions will include film screenings, panel discussions, workshops, and interactive experiences designed to delve into various aspects of filmmaking and facilitate expertise exchange with industry specialists.

The first week of activities, scheduled from October 14 to 16, will focus on the theme "How Stories Are Born." Saudi producer and director Ayman Jamal will participate, exploring the process of transforming local stories into films. His sessions will cover idea development, story building, production, directing, and the role of cultural heritage in filmmaking.

The program aims to enhance film culture while providing cinema enthusiasts and emerging talents opportunities to learn from seasoned filmmakers. Participants can expect to gain insights into storytelling, production, directing, and animation, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
