Riyadh: The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve are set to welcome visitors to the fifth edition of the Al Urumah Season ecotourism event soon. The event anticipates strong attendance from visitors across Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, over the past four consecutive seasons, the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority (IARDA) has attracted more than 900,000 ecotourists. This highlights the success of its efforts to establish sustainable ecotourism and raise public awareness about natural resources and environmental heritage conservation.
The fourth Al Urumah Season saw increased engagement in ecotourism activities, with over 400,000 visitors. This reflects the growing interest in environmental tourism. Meanwhile, the number of service providers increased to 16 during that edition, offering various experiences and packages designed to meet visitor expectations and enhance the quality of ecotourism.
The fourth edition also issued three media filming permits, underscoring the site’s appeal for those documenting natural beauty and biodiversity.
Building on this ongoing success, IARDA is launching the fifth edition of Al Urumah Season this November with a more ambitious vision and a range of innovative programs that balance enjoyment with responsibility. This enhances the event’s status as a leading ecotourism destination in Saudi Arabia.
