Riyadh: National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) Director-General Dr. Khalid Al-Ruhaili received UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) program director in Saudi Arabia Dr. Nizar Haddad. The meeting took place at the center's headquarters in Riyadh to discuss aspects of coordination in the fields of sustainable agriculture and food security.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, the officials reviewed areas of joint work and ways to leverage FAO's expertise to support national initiatives related to agricultural sustainability. They also discussed opportunities for cooperation in implementing training programs, developing research partnerships, and enabling innovative and resource-efficient agricultural practices.
Dr. Al-Ruhaili emphasized Estidamah's commitment to enhancing cooperation with international partners, particularly the FAO, to align with the goals of the National Agriculture Strategy and support the food security system through scientific solutions and sustainable technologies.
