Trilateral talks on Ethiopia’s dam issue continued on Saturday 11/7/2020 for the ninth consecutive day under the sponsorship of the African Union (AU) and in the presence of international observers.
The talks, held via videoconferencing, seek to reach an agreement on the dam’s operation and filling process.
The ninth day witnessed separate bilateral meetings among the representatives of three countries involved, alongside the international experts and observers, according to a statement released by the Water Resources and Irrigation Ministry on Saturday evening.
The Egyptian side expanded on the alternative proposals it had presented earlier during the meeting of the technical committee, which took place on Friday evening.
Meanwhile, the technical and legal committees responded to the comments and inquiries of the international observers, the statement added.
