Riyadh: The Esports World Cup Foundation has launched the EWC_Extra channel on X and Instagram to provide live coverage and real-time content from the ongoing tournament in Riyadh, the largest esports event in the world.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the new channel aims to highlight key moments and competitive scenes, providing reports on tournament progress, player performance, and behind-the-scenes insights. It operates as part of an integrated content platform alongside the main channel, which focuses on cultural and human stories related to participants and spectators.
During its first week, the tournament recorded a significant surge in viewership, with a 167% increase in audience numbers and a 267% rise in video views, supported by over 7,000 hours of live broadcast coverage reaching more than 140 countries.
