Riyadh: Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) chief product officer Faisal bin Homran confirmed that the tournament had a successful start in its first week, with large audience turnout and intense competition among the participating teams.
According to Saudi Press Agency, all teams delivered advanced performances, reflecting their high level of preparation for the season, including unexpected results that enhanced the atmosphere of enthusiasm and suspense.
Bin Homran indicated that the competition would expand with the start of the second week, given the teams' similar skill levels and equal chances of advancing to the top of the standings. He explained that the EWCF Club Partner Program continues to succeed with the participation of more than 40 clubs from various countries, including those from India and China. This is part of marketing efforts aimed at promoting the tournament globally through club ambassadors who convey the atmosphere of the tournament and create digital content that reflects the level of organization and attention to detail.
Bin Homran stated that last year's first edition of the tournament was a remarkable success. With the start of this year's event, significant developments are being witnessed in all aspects, including crowd numbers that have exceeded expectations, more diverse events, and a substantial increase in international participation, which embodies the magnitude of the tournament's growth and success year after year.
