Riyadh: The National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) has launched a national chemical safety platform to enhance and regulate chemical management across the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, NCEC's official spokesperson Saad Al-Matrafi stated that the platform has registered more than 120,000 imported and locally manufactured chemicals. It also contributes to strengthening the national economy by improving the efficiency and safety of chemical management practices.
General Manager of Ozone and Chemical Safety at NCEC Eng. Majed Al-Mufadda highlighted that the platform provides direct electronic connectivity with government agencies and industrial facilities. Additionally, it facilitates the classification and analysis of materials, enables immediate risk assessment, and unifies chemical databases across the Kingdom.
