Environment Ministry’s Madinah Branch Organizes Professional Volunteering Workshop

Madinah: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Madinah Region hosted a workshop on activating professional volunteering in the fields of environment, water, and agriculture, bringing together leaders of local volunteer teams to promote social responsibility, environmental sustainability, agricultural awareness, and efficient water conservation practices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the workshop highlighted the significance of volunteer work and its positive impact on the community and individuals. Participants discussed strategies to activate professional volunteering and identified necessary competencies to support development goals.

In 2024, the number of volunteers in the sector surpassed 133,000, generating an economic return of SAR65 million. Improvements in volunteer practices across the ministry's branches and civil associations were also aligned with the Saudi national standard for volunteering.
